This past year has been an incredible journey for LC Hunting Labs. From whelping beautiful litters to meeting amazing families, 2024 has been filled with unforgettable moments. Here are some highlights and lessons we've learned:
Highlights:
Welcomed 2 new litters and saw 16 puppies find their forever homes. The first litter consisted of 7 puppies, and the second litter brought 9 puppies into the world.
Hosted wonderful events over the summer months, including one with the first litter at Lake McConaughy in Nebraska. These gatherings were a great opportunity for clients and puppies to connect and create lasting memories.
Launched our online store featuring products like dog shampoo, after-bath oil, and other items to support the health and grooming needs of our furry friends.
Strengthened our commitment to ethical breeding practices and health testing, ensuring all our puppies come from a healthy and carefully planned lineage.

Lessons Learned:
Always be ready to adapt to the unexpected, whether it’s a surprise during whelping or a unique client request.
Streamlining operations, like record-keeping and scheduling, made a big difference this year. Having clear systems in place ensured smooth transitions and saved time during busy periods.
Reflecting on 2024 also reminds us of the joy and dedication involved in what we do. Whelping a litter is always an emotional and rewarding experience, from the first moments of delivery to the day each puppy meets their new family. These early weeks are filled with milestones, from the first wobbly steps to the moments of playfulness that showcase each puppy's unique personality. Watching them grow and thrive under our care never fails to inspire awe and gratitude.
The events we hosted brought an added layer of connection to our LC Hunting Labs community. Seeing puppies interact with their future owners in a fun, relaxed environment was a highlight. Lake McConaughy offered the perfect backdrop for bonding and capturing unforgettable memories. Families could see the puppies in action, running along the beach, splashing in the water, and displaying the natural exuberance and energy Labradors are known for. These moments reinforced the importance of matching each puppy to the right family, ensuring their personalities and needs align perfectly.
Another major milestone was launching our online store. This new addition allows us to extend our care for dogs beyond breeding by offering high-quality, handcrafted products tailored to their needs. From grooming essentials like shampoo and after-bath oil to specialty items that promote wellness and comfort, we’ve worked hard to ensure these products meet the same high standards we apply to every aspect of LC Hunting Labs.
As we look back on 2024, we also want to acknowledge the incredible support network that surrounds LC Hunting Labs. From our dedicated veterinary team to our amazing clients who keep us updated with stories and pictures of their Labs, each of you contributes to the heart of what we do. It’s these relationships that make the challenges worthwhile and the successes even sweeter.
